This privacy statement applies to the network of Wet Waste web sites. By using any Wet Waste products, you consent to the data practices in this statement. 

What Information Do We Collect?

When you place an order or an enquiry, we will need to know your username and password (if you have one), email address, name and postal address. This enables us to process and fulfil your orders, invoice you accordingly and keep you posted with account activity.

Information about how you use and navigate our web sites – we can track this by using what are known as 'cookies'.

Additional personal information disclosed in email correspondence. This information may be merged with personal information you have already submitted online and will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

Web Statistics

In order to measure the relevance and usefulness of certain areas of our web site, we analyse anonymous data collected by cookies about our web site visitors. We may also collect Internet Protocol addresses to help diagnose problems with our servers, but these cannot be linked to any person's name or identity. 

Changing your browser settings to decline cookies will enable you to opt out of this anonymous data collection.

Consent: by using our web sites, you consent to the collection and use of this information by Wet Waste only. Any changes to this Privacy Statement will be posted to this page, to ensure that you are aware of what information is collected, how it is used and under what circumstances we disclose it. 

Cookies: A cookie is a text file placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to you, they do not contain personally identifying information and simply enable us to track visitor routes through our web sites. 

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually opt out by changing your browser settings. 

Communication: As stated previously Wet Waste will send information to customers about (1) account information and (2) relevant marketing information. 

Account specific communications are considered essential to the smooth operation of your account with Wet Waste and you will not be able to unsubscribe from such emails. 

Marketing communications will include details about new products, latest developments, surveys and other promotional offers. Customers have the ability to opt out of receiving this type of information, simply by following the unsubscribe link sent in each email. 

Security

Security is probably one of the most significant concerns for both the shopper and the retailer during an online transaction. In reality, an online transaction is probably more secure than a card transaction in a shop or conducted over the telephone or by fax, as the information transmitted online is strongly encrypted using complicated logarithm combinations. The PayPal payment system we use, uses a combination of both established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. 

Transaction Encryption

The transfer of the purchase details from the retailers site to Paypal are encapsulated using PayPal's own encrypted and digitally-signed protocol. This uses a combination of standard methods such as PGP, RSA and MD5 to ensure that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof via SSL.

Security for the Shopper

Any communication between the shopper and Paypal is also encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the shopper's browser using 128 Bit SSL. Shoppers are also protected from fraudulent use of their card in a "card not present" environment, by their card issuers. The card issuers provide the right for shopper to dispute a transaction if the goods/services did not arrive or if the card was used fraudulently.

Data Storage

Data storage on PayPal systems, and the communication between Paypal and the worldwide banking networks, is regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure a secure transaction environment. We also ensure that we stay up-to-date with the latest versions of any third-party code we use, and continually review our own proprietary code.
